The Blue Mountain Passport Club
is designed to serve as Northwest Iowa's premier semi-private
club. The club atmosphere sets it apart from other recreational
dining and drinking establishments, offering patrons a unique,
relaxed destination for a quiet evening, a toast with friends, or
a special celebration - complete with genuine hospitality and
exquisite service.
The setting and interiors are artfully designed to provide a warm
and inviting environment, complete with rich visuals and
comfortable, substantial furnishings to help guests "relax
the body and enjoy the spirits." The Passport Club is filled
with inspired art, artifacts, and antiques from six continents -
from treasures of ancient Asia to tapestries from Turkey to
fossilized trilobites from pre-historic Africa. The club features
a selection of fine wines, import beers, high-end liquors, and
specialty concoctions, along with a menu of tasteful hors
d'oeuvres, small plates, wood-fired pizzas, and decadent desserts.
The menu is as eclectic and global as the surroundings, with
flavors that impart a sense of culinary adventure.
A humidor stocked with fine cigar brands from around the world -
and a secluded smoking room - satisfy the cigar aficionado while
keeping the main seating area and bar smoke-free. One of the
cornerstones of the Elephant Room in the Passport Club is the
1,000-bottle wine "cellar." Surrounded by beveled glass,
the 150-square-foot temperature-controlled room features
custom-built mahogany shelving. Patrons can view the club's wine
labels, and choose a pour for on-site or off-sale enjoyment.
Theme parties/events and monthly specials infuse a sense of
festivity and camaraderie among members. Featured wines,
beverages, and foods provide an education - and delightful
experimentation - for the cosmopolitan palate.
